The Election Commission of India (ECI) is an autonomous constitutional authority in India that is in charge of managing national and state-level elections. This includes elections for the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, and State Legislative Assemblies, as well as the positions of President and Vice President.
The ECI exercises the functions conferred by Article 324 of the Indian Constitution and the Representation of the People Act. It guarantees free and fair elections, upholding the democratic process in India.
